Wellington in north Telford is over 760 years old and Newport in the wrekin part of the borough was itself planned as a new town in the 12th century. 4 miles west of Telford lies the wrekin a prominent and well known landmark in Shropshire that rises to a height of 407m 1335ft and on a good day some 15 counties can be seen from the summit.

Telford Is easily accessible by car due to the M54 which links to both the A5 and M6. Other Main roads leading to Telford include the A41 and A49

By Train

Telford is easily accessed by train, Telford Central Station is only a 10m minute walk from the town centre.

There are also two other train stops in Telford at Oakengates and Wellington. 

Trains travel regular from Telford to Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Birmingham
